Behind the Scenes with Dude Perfect: A Look Inside Their New Studio HQ in Frisco, TX

This February, I had the unique opportunity to step inside the world of Dude Perfect—the legendary YouTube creators known for jaw-dropping trick shots and larger-than-life content.
The occasion? A private unveiling of their brand-new, state-of-the-art production headquarters in Frisco, Texas—and a sneak peek at their latest studio show, Overtime.

As someone who lives and breathes creative storytelling and visual content, getting to witness how a creator-driven empire like Dude Perfect operates behind the scenes was an inspiring experience. Here's a quick recap of the day and what made it so special.

📍 Welcome to the New Dude Perfect HQ

From the moment I arrived at DPHQ3, I could tell this wasn’t just a workspace—it was a creative playground built for innovation at scale. The design, energy, and sheer ambition behind this space reflect how far the creator economy has come.

The event brought together a curated group of creatives, brand execs, athletes, and fellow content makers. The vibe? Equal parts excitement and inspiration.

🎬 First Look at Overtime – Dude Perfect’s New Studio Show

One of the highlights of the day was getting an exclusive preview of “Overtime,” their new sports talk and variety show. Think of it as a high-energy blend of classic Dude Perfect antics, fan-favorite segments, and elevated production value—all captured in this new studio space.

With the show set to debut at SXSW, it’s clear the team is aiming to level up the creator-led entertainment game.

🎤 Industry Insights: The Creator Economy is Just Getting Started

After the tour, we heard from Andrew Yaffe and leadership from YouTube, who shared some key insights into how creators like Dude Perfect are redefining entertainment. The overarching theme? The future belongs to the storytellers—especially those who own their voice, brand, and platform.

It was encouraging to see the level of strategy and innovation happening at the intersection of content creation, business, and community building.

🤝 Meeting the Dudes + Portrait Moments

One of the most memorable parts of the event was the chance to meet some of the Dudes themselves and capture a few quick portraits.

I had about one minute each with:

  • Tyler Toney – Calm, confident, and exactly how he comes across on camera.

  • Cory & Coby Cotton – The twins brought that signature energy and were all smiles.

  • Andrew Yaffe, the newly appointed CEO – His leadership vision for scaling the brand was clear, and it was great to see him in action.

Each moment was brief but genuine—and capturing portraits in such a fast-paced setting is something I truly enjoy. It’s all about catching authenticity in motion.

I couldn’t decide between black and white or color for these portraits—each version told its own story. Sometimes, the energy and tones in color speak loudest. Other times, black and white strips everything back and lets the emotion lead. So I decided to include both.

📸 Final Thoughts

Being invited into this space wasn’t just exciting—it was a reminder of the power of creative vision paired with consistency and scale. From trick shots to building a media empire, Dude Perfect is proof that creators are more than entertainers—they’re industry leaders.

And for me, it was an honor to document a small piece of it.
